The Shooting Range is a good place to practice and pick up an extra 2 points per target. Shooting the right targets will open hidden locations and reveal hidden buttons that can give you 50 or even 500 points each, but watch out for the traps.
Watch out for bombs like the one in the above picture. They can be shot from a distance to blow your ass up, as seen below.
There are many buttons. Some give you points, some blow you up and some teleport you to one of two locations, one of which will find you wishing for the gift of flight.
